Since 1998 the Russian Iris Society conducts the annual Congresses. Basically, they boil down to explore the iris growers gardens. To participate in the Congress by paying the appropriate registration fee may all interested persons, not just members of the RIS. During the Congress held a vote of its members to determine the most popular varieties (of any class), they had seen on the route of the Congress. Information about the poll results is published in the RIS annual Bulletins.
